Today I went to the Empire State Building for lunch. In the faux-French fast food franchise, I ordered a herbed cheese sandwich, a bag of potato chips, and a Diet Coke.
After I placed my order, the middle-aged man behind me on line gently touched my arm. “That is a great lunch,” he complimented me, “a great lunch.”
“Yeah,” I responded, “it’s right up there with sandwich, apple, milk.”
