From a newsgroup post answering a request for info about NYC jugglers, Hoboken, New Jersey, USA:
I think we're all o.k. But we can't be sure yet. I know that Viv, Sky and Jav are o.k. The rest I can't be 100%, but no one had any reason to be down near the WTC today (I think), however there are about 30-40 of us to track down.
I will say this: Today has been a tragedy beyond the scope anyone's most horrible comprehension. Most people at our club will know some one affected by it.
Every day I commute across the river into Wall st. via the World Trade Center. I typically come into the city on a subway that stops right under the towers. And I am almost always there at just around 9:00 AM, exactly when this nightmare unfolded today. However, today, because I woke up and went to the gym to juggle I was running late and I never even made it across the river. In essence, Juggling may have saved my life. Going to the gym to practice kept me from being at the WTC when disaster struck. I know it seems weird, but it's true. I am not lying. For me, juggling may have been my salvation.
I watched from the banks of the Hudson as the towers burned. Unbelievably greusome.
I love juggling.
I hope everybody is o.k.
